Wu-Tang Clan's RZA, System's Odadjian Team In New Group
Wu-Tang Kinship group [ tickets ] collapse The RZA [ tickets ] and System of rules of a Bolt down bassist Shavo Odadjian recently finished transcription an album together which is due out this summertime, according to a press release. The new band, Achozen [ tickets ], also features Kinetic 9 (aka Beretta 9 from Killarmy) and up-and-comer Reverend William Edmund Burke from Chicago.Odadjian said in a statement that Achozen's music is "a freshly literary genre of heavy hip hop," pointing out that it is different than "rap-metal;" there ar no heavy guitars on the album, just the sound is genre-blending.The band's self-titled debut release besides features several invitee performers including George DeWitt Clinton, Whoremaster Frusciante, Wu-Tang affiliate Killah Non-Christian priest and Wu-Tang instauration member GZA among others.The album's first gear track, "Deuces," will debut online Apr 22 at urSESSION.com.
